- So before I forget, I have to tell you all about an amazing experience that I had this week, on Tuesday. We have this recent convert to the church named Vere, a lady about 40 years old. She was having some pretty bad problems with her son, Danny, who is one of our investigators, and they got in a fight where they both told each other that they were such bad people and such hypocrites that neither should go to church and that it wasn´t right for them. This all happened earlier in the day on Tuesday, and we had our appointment with them that night at 8:00, but she sent us a text saying that she didn´t want to see us. We were going to head over to see her anyway, but earlier, around 7:00, but we had a feeling that we should wait until the hour for the which we had set the appointment. So we showed up at her house at 8:00, at the exact moment that somebody else had knocked at her door (they went away right when we got there, so that was perfect!), a nobody that I don´t exactly know who it was, which gave us the perfect opportunity to find her there on her doorstop, without the opportunity to just stay hidden in her house. If we hadn´t have gotten there right at that exact moment, she wouldn´t have opened the door for us, because of the terrible mood that her fight with Danny had put her in. She had decided that she didn´t want to meet with us anymore, and that she was going to distance herself from the church, because she agreed with all the hurtful words Danny had told her. We reassured her that God really does love her, that she has a divine potential, that she´s not a hypocrite, and that the last thing she should do is distance herself from God, because God is the one that helps us through the hard times, not the one that wants us to pass through them. We gave her a Priesthood blessing, and afterwards she calmed down a ton and felt a lot better. She told us that after her fight with her son and before we got to her house, that she prayed to God to ask him if she should continue with this church, or if she really wasn´t good enough and worthy enough for it. She told us that we were the way by which God answered her prayer, and that her testimony of God´s love was strengthened. I´m happy to report that she has continued faithfully and that her and Danny were able to resolve their problem and that their relationship is as good as ever! They were both in church this Sunday, after almost permanantly losing them both! God really does guide us, and is watching out for all of us!! Please don´t ever think that God doesn´t love you, or that you aren´t worthy of going to church or trying to repent, because if you think that, you´re wrong!! God loves you, I love you, and always remember something that my companion taught me..."The church isn´t a museum of saints, it´s a hospital for sinners." :)
